A member association had failed SOC2 and PCI DSS certification attempts for multiple years. I took full ownership of both certifications simultaneously. For PCI, I designed a purpose-built environment that removed the existing infrastructure from scope entirely, dramatically reducing attack surface. Both certifications were achieved and maintained for 4 years, while uncovering accounting issues that eliminated a large accounts receivable backlog.
