While at Brookwood Hotels, I led our real estate expansion efforts. During the Covid19 pandemic, our Board voted to halt all new investments after we built a pipeline of $400M hotels over a 2 year period. We devised a strategy that allowed us to anticipate the timing of market stability, expand the portfolio, reduce costs while lowering risk. As a result, we contributed 25% more value to the $1.5 billion sale to the largest private equity firm in the U.S in 2022.
